I’ve been playing with this for a while now, and I’ve noticed that this firmware has really significantly reduced compatibility for the NES and SNES with my TV. I’m not sure what it’s doing to process the consoles differently, but both no longer work in 5x mode and in the other modes experience intermittent screen blanking. I used to have that problem on an older official firmware, but ever since 0.78 the vanilla firmware has handled both consoles perfectly. So, not sure what is going on with this firmware that would reduce compatibility. I know both consoles have somewhat odd timing, but I would assume this only introduces an overlay over the official firmware.
Definitely worth looking into before merging this into 0.81, because at this point it looks like I’ll be stuck with 0.80 vanilla if I want my systems to work correctly. Which is a shame, because when this firmware works it looks so much better than the old scanlines.
