The OSSC has the Test pattern to test for this. Since firmware 0.80 it has a 32 step grayramp to notice crushing more easily.
I notice the image that’s shown right when the OSSC turns on, is this what you’re referring to, or is there another option in the menu to bring up a test pattern? The grey test pattern when I first turn on the OSSC doesn’t look like the 32 step grey ramp patterns I”m used to seeing.
