OSSC is a line multiplier so it can only scale lines rather than whole frames.

A lot of people get hung up on the whole “perfect integer scale” thing, but honestly, even if you do that, it won’t look anything like it did on a CRT back in the day.

2x is a standard broadcast resolution while 4x is a PC resolution (or close to) so your TV/display is probably applying different colour settings based on that.
