To change / transform one resolution (640×480 for you) into another (in 1080 for example) you need an external upscaler.
By cons it will take up space, example a Dvdo (but it is less efficient than an actual TV but more flexible and therefore allows to “force” the resolution you want, but adds lag including the Edge which can bug easily).
Brief to see if there is a correct external solution that does not add too much lag (and it is difficult).
The MCable can be an alternative but seems to be subject to problem on the real rendering / treatment (I believe, it would be necessary to repeat the tests of Retrorgb and others).
