Nothing says you have to use optimal timings, it’s a preference not the correct way to use your OSSC, I never use them because I find them over sharp, they look nothing like a CRT does.
Good news is we’ll be stocking the new N64 HDMI/RGB dual output mods if we can ever get our hands on them! I have more hope of that than ever getting any more UltraHDMIs anyway.
