GameCube and Wii both have a lowpass filter on their output. It’s probably a (5-tap?) FIR filter in the video encoder followed by an analog lowpass filter after the DAC.
Technically, when sampling at optimized modes it should be possible to reduce the artifacting with another multitap FIR filter. It would be nice if that could be added to the OSSC Pro. The original Xbox consoles also could make use of that.
