      Hello There,

I just received my OSSC 1.6 and connected it up to my PAL Nintendo Wii using the factory Component cables. After turning the OSSC on and selecting AV2: YPbPr the display shows 525p @ 31.46kHz 59.94Hz. But my Samsung 32″ TV does not detect any input on the HDMI plug that the OSSC is connected to (it remains grayed out)

I tried enabling line-double for 480p, and then going back to pass-thru, I also tried resetting the settings, but neither worked.

Are there any tricks to get output from the OSSC when using a Wii ?

You have made sure the HDMI cable is not at fault? I cannot imagine a flat screen TV that does not accept regular 480p via HDMI.

What is known is that some TVs don’t accept 480i over HDMI, so make sure your Wii is truly running in 480p mode.

very similar setup, my tv is a samsung UE5000 series and connected via nintendo component cables also. with the wii set as 480p and tv set to 16:1 i can get x2 to display fullscreen no issues. unsupported in all other modes.

Do you have another 480p source you could try (Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox) ?
