Should I just use the default settings or could I get a sharper picture if I used a optimized profile setting?

I’ve got an OSSC set up to line2x 576i (but the problem also happens with passthrough) with my pal PS2 with component cables. My tv is a Philips LCD-TV 47PFL3007T/12.

I’m getting about half a second where the picture disappears and the red LED on the ossc lights up. Randomly during gameplay but reliably 2 times during the intro cutscene in god of war 1.
