Sorry if I’m necro-bumping/posting this thread and if this is old news, but I think I might have figured out what is causing the confusion here at least in regards to the SNES. The different models appear to have different output levels. In my case, I have two that have the SHVC motherboard and one that has an APU motherboard. The SHVC models both apparently have the “hotter” output and therefore experience the issue on white screen flashes, but the APU model doesn’t. I can’t say for the other revisions, but maybe this sheds some light on this.
