All gone, sorry! Currently we have no ETA on re-stock.
The RetroTINK 2X-Mini is the entry level RetroTINK device and replaces the RetroTINK 2X classic. The device supports composite video and S-Video signals only, component video is NOT supported on this model.
RetroTINK 2X-Mini is an affordable composite and S-Video and analogue audio to digital video transcoder/converter designed by Mike Chi. Finally, you can connect your composite or S-Video only systems to your HDTV and enjoy the best possible picture quality from those legacy connections. No more bad deinterlacing, no more 240p incompatibilities.
What does it do?
Processes (line doubles) retro games with NO input lag – Unlike other scalers, such as the XRGB Mini, the RetroTINK 2X-Mini works on individual scanlines rather than a frame at a time, which means there’s no input lag whatsoever (well, a few nanoseconds if you really want to be precise).
Eliminates ugly deinterlacing artefacts and bad scaling – Connect most retro consoles to your TV and if you get a picture at all, it’s likely to be ugly. Bad scaling combined with deinterlacing (which should never even be applied to 240p material) will ruin the picture and make you wish you had your old CRT back. Well, worry no more! RetroTINK 2X-Mini converts the image into a 480p image that is correctly displayed and processed. EVERY special effect, from 240p drop shadows to striped sprites, is rendered correctly.
Supports composite and S-Video – Unlike OSSC, RetroTINK 2X-Mini supports composite and S-Video (RGB video and component video are NOT supported on the RetroTINK 2X-Mini). This allows a much wider range of legacy computer and games console equipment to be used with the unit.
USB Powered – Power RetroTINK 2X-Mini from a USB port (1 amp of current is required) or use one of our multi-region power supply units.
Does not ship with video cables. User is responsible for buying the correct cable to connect their console or computer to the RetroTINK Mini.

If you only need composite or s-video, the 2x Mini is probably the best bang for buck upscaler out there.
240p actually displays properly and all that input lag that modern flatscreens add is gone.
I use it with my N64 and my PS1 games on PSP and it’s great.
Both PAL and NTSC games work correctly.
I honestly didn’t think composite video could look this good, guess i’ve forgotten what it looked like on old CRTs. :/
Shipping to Sweden was fast and hassle free, i definitely recommend this if you have an old 240p console.

Great stuff!
We used the RetroTINK 2X-Mini to connect a N64 with S-Video to a UHD QLED TV (288p to 576p to 2160p!). The image looks great without smoothing!
I had to set the COMB switch to ‘Retro’, because the TV deemed the video format as incompatible on the ‘Auto’ setting. (Try both!)
The build quality is nice and the case feels sturdy and looks very nice. It doesn’t feel and look cheap at all. Orange one is awesome!
Highly recommended for connecting a N64 to a modern UHD TV.
No cables are included, but it’s all standard stuff; full size HDMI, RCAs, S-Video, and Micro USB for power. No need for a clunky power supply with funky connector like the OSSC…!

Fantastic little device. Used on the S-Video output of an Amiga CD32 Looks brilliant on a modern TV. Highly recommend this device if you only need composite or S-Video.

If you looked at the RetroTINK website and read the description, and watched some unboxing videos on Youtube, you might think the mini comes included with a USB cable and, more importantly, with an S-Video cable that also works on PAL N64s. Well, be ready for a disappointment when bought through VGP: all I received was a mini thrown in an envelope and that’s it. No box, no cables, not even a printed manual.
Perhaps in fairness to VGP, they do not mention on their website that anything like this is included, but when researching the mini, you might think it is. So it turns out this depends on where you buy it. If the S-Video cable is important to you, I suggest you buy it elsewhere.
Admin response – Thanks for your candid feedback! We don’t include the N64 S-video cable as there are multiple versions for PAL consoles, also many customers are purchasing these to use with retro computers like the C64 where such a thing would be entirely useless.
We don’t include printed manuals in order to keep costs down I don’t believe RetroTINK include them either.
