You must do this modification if you have an older OSSC (hardware revision 1.7 or earlier). What you&#8217;re trying to do is find a resolution your PC can display that best fits the base resolution of the game, and then throw away the bits you don&#8217;t want when you downscale. so for a 320&#215;240 base resolution game in a 640&#215;480 output mode, you&#8217;d simply throw out every other line.</p>

I&#8217;m not sure if that will solve the blanking issue as that could be the monitor not fully tolerating the Amiga&#8217;s clock or various other reasons but, certainly worth a try.</p>
