<p>You can connect up both displays but can&#8217;t use them at the same time, the OSSC will output either RGBs or Ypbpr component video, not both at the same time so you&#8217;d need to select which you wanted.</p>

This was on an LG C9 OLED.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sync is indeed sent to pin 20 on the SCART end, but can be taken either from composite video or cysnc output on many consoles. A sync stripper should not be needed with the OSSC though proper attenuation is required when using CSYNC.</p>

<p>There shouldn&#8217;t be any damage (though Markus would be more qualified to answer that) but sync devices should only be outputting a few mA, I&#8217;m surprised there&#8217;s enough to actually power the device, that seems like a badly designed sync.</p>

I used a real N64 with a HDMI mod, output via vga and analogue audio on the extra AV out and the game &#8220;Ridge Racer N64&#8221; which was known to cause clipping on the Morph analogue bridge. I did not hear any clipping or distortion.</p>

<p>Perhaps your monitor simply cannot handle 72hz? As you can see its a monitor issue rather than the OSSC itself. The other modes I suspect are 60hz?</p>

I wonder if it could deal not only with OSSC Pro but also the direct output modes from the RetroGEM boards, some of which trip up most DACs.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We do now know that the N64 outputs audio that is too loud/over amplified by default as this caused an issue recently with the Morph, so the issue really is a design fault in the N64 but of course that&#8217;s not much help knowing that now not like Nintendo are going to fix it.</p>

<p>You could also try Output Opt-&gt;CSync combiner see if that setting helps.</p>

You must do this modification if you have an older OSSC (hardware revision 1.7 or earlier). Follow the specific firmware upgrade/downgrade instructions for 1.20 to downgrade (firmware file goes in fw sub-folder on fat32 formatted card).</p>
