The problem seems to be even worse now: the screen stays black most of the time and occasionally flashes the picture.

Strangely, the LED on the OSSC stays green constantly now.

Do I need to get a dejitter mod for my SNES to use this mode?

Wouldn’t the jitter affect all modes and not just Line2X? (sorry for my ignorance)

The LED on the OSSC itself changes colors when these dropouts occur, and they vary in frequency but can happen at any time.
