<p>I&#8217;ve now modded my OSSC, I&#8217;ve stuck together the fuse and a shottky diode I had in my stash. It works fine &#8211; and 5V output is still 5V which is weird as the diode has a 0.15V voltage drop, I thought I read 5.0 before the mod so I am puzzled I now read 5.0 after the mod 😀</p>

<p>You can connect up both displays but can&#8217;t use them at the same time, the OSSC will output either RGBs or Ypbpr component video, not both at the same time so you&#8217;d need to select which you wanted.</p>

<p>Since I had the extra av-extension-card, i switch the switches SW1 to SCART_O and SW2 to SCART_O&#8230;.</p>
<p>I convert with it the hdmi signal from mini pc to scart signal for CRT!</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The LED at the bottom right is now also glowing a steady green.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>At least the Mega Drive seems to be working now.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll test the rest once I&#8217;ve got everything connected again.</p>

<p>Shoulnd&#8217;t the VRR flag still be helpful for framerates slightly below and slightly above 60hz in order to avoid the occasional judder? That was my expection since this is an external form of VRR which cannot really read in-game performance.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Scaler mode with 1x framelock, the latency should be a bit over 1 frame. With 2x framelock, average latency should drop to 0.75 input frames since top of the output frame still has 1 frame latency while bottom has 0.5.</p>
<p>With framelock off, there is an adder of 0-1 input frames and it fluctuates between that as there is no lock.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok so with &#8220;disconnect the pin on the capture device&#8221; you meant opening the dongle &#8211; it&#8217;s actually a very good dongle I found online for not much and I&#8217;d rather leave it alone. &#x1f642;</p>
<p>I think a diode would be best &#8211; what is the purpose of that 5V coming from OSSC? Is that to signal the receiver that an HDMI cable has been plugged?</p>

My point mainly was that it&#8217;d always better to fix the root cause, but it&#8217;s understandable if you want to avoid opening a plastic dongle that doesn&#8217;t have screws.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve unintentionally left the OSSC powered via HDMI for a little while the other day and it stayed powered. The polyfuse you mentioned is F2?</p>
<p>The capture device is a dongle, I&#8217;d rather not try to disassemble it. What would be the downside of adding a diode &#8211; or removing F2 entirely?
