Reply To: HDMI Retro Console > OSSC / Mcable

I was thinking on this because of the line multiplier factor, to improve jaggy edges

What I’m questioning is routing the output from your HDMI consoles through the OSSC, not the use of the mCable.

The UltraHDMI and DCHDMI already do scaling internally; and I’m not sure which clone consoles you’re looking at, but (correct me if I’m wrong) I’m pretty sure those will have selectable output at 480p, 720p, and/or 1080p as well (should do at least 720p like the NES/SNES Classics).

The OSSC isn’t going to provide any benefit to the already-scaled, already-digital output from these devices.
