I think it might have something to do with the fact that the HDMI output on the OSSC does not support analogue inputs… Although, my HD CRT has an HDMI input, so can that still be analogue?

This doesn’t really make sense to me. HDMI is entirely digital; what the OSSC does is it takes analogue signals and digitizes them so they can be transmitted digitally.

Consoles like the Dreamcast and PS2 (and probably the GameCube) should be new enough that they have a stable, standard framerate, but it’s entirely possible that the HDMI processing on your CRT isn’t tolerant of non-60Hz sources, or the HDMI input or the circuitry might be faulty.
