Did you use default adaptive LM mode or scaler? You might want to check this post which describes a small HW modification that can improve stability.
The included N64 presets are for NTSC, and it’s not possible to load OSSC profiles. It should be still easy to tune the existing preset for PAL if you know the correct sampling rate.
