Yes, my NTSC snes works with hdmi sound and line 5x and 6x using 1.08 firm on a modded ossc 1.6.
I remember that a few years ago, on my asus monitor, snes didn’t output sound via hdmi on 3x or 4x (don’t remember exactly).
But i’ve changed my display and well, it works fine.
