      Hi guys,

I have a SNES RGB Amp v4.0a (ordered from VGP) which will be installed in a Japanese SFC 1-chip-01.
Before beginning the mod, I’m hoping someone could help clarify some uncertainties…

On the SFC mainboard, I understand to remove R15, R16, R17 to free up the RGB pins at multiAV.
Furthermore, should remove R11, R12 (optionally R9,R10,Q1) to free up CSYNC.

However, based on both Borti’s and Retrorgb’s install guides, it’s not clear if removing C46 (pin3) is enough or if I should also remove C44, C45, C47. Or do I leave all these caps on the board?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You should leave C44-47 in the SNES as we didn’t add those to our RGB amps. (In future batches though we will be adding them so some or all of these will need to be removed depending on the motherboard revision but instructions will be added to the key points on the sales page by then).
