I am trying to setup my Amiga to play games on my OSSC at x4. When I hook up my machine via OSSC, the picture looks good, but not perfect so I looked up some advanced timing settings which I found here:
I am assuming that these are the correct settings for normal games (not fancy hi-res for Workbench):
PAL:HiRes, PAL:LowRes:
240p/288p lineX3: Off
H. samplerate: 908
H. synclen: 60
H. active: 724
V. active: 288
H. backporch: 77
V. backporch: 24
Sampling phase: Adjust until you get stable and crisp picture
Once I enter these settings the picture and view the image at x4 line mode, it looks super narrow, as if it is half the width it should be, like this:
BUT, if I switch to x2 line mode, then picture resolution looks fine:
Am I missing something obvious? I am a n00b when it comes to OSSC 🙂
Thank you!
What happens if you use the default settings for 4x?
With default settings picture looks pretty good, even the ratio is fine. With the above settings picture looks sharper, but takes half the width.
Are you using a real Amiga or is the device in the Picture above a FPGA-based clone?
