      Hi,

      I was googling a bad audio quality problem and found this thread on the forum.
      Since I don’t have an ossc, I thought I’d post my problem in the general section.

      So I have a sega mega drive 2. Bought a minidin to scart for it (on a dutch website if I’m not mistaken, also have one from aliexpress) and a scart to hdmi box. I just hooked it up to my sony avr and the sound sounds really distorted as described in the other thread.
      My hdmi out on the avr is hooked up to a simple 24″ tft monitor. When I connect the md2 directly to the monitor and connect headphones to its headphone out, the sound is fine. When I connect that headphone out to the avr, the sound is distorted (same as when I connect the md2 directly to the avr).

      Does anyone know if there is a solution to this?

        Megadrive 2’s aren’t known for their great sound quality usually, you may need the Mega Amp upgrade/mod.
