Hi, I saw this previous thread but it wasn’t really solved: https://videogameperfection.com/forums/topic/ps1-no-480i-240p-black-and-white/

I have a NTSC PSX (SCPH-7501) connected with the same S-Video cable.  The cable works acceptably with a generic 4K to HDMI scaler.  The output from the Koryuu component video is bad in the same way whether going to OSSC to a projector, or to a CRT TV with component video inputs.  NTSC N64 works great through Koryuu with a S-Video cable.

How can I debug this?  I was hoping to use Koryuu for all systems through a simple S-Video switcher (connections are currently direct, it’s not in the loop and can’t be a source of the trouble).  But if this can’t be fixed then I have to bypass Koryuu to the SCART input on the OSSC.

That’s really strange… clearly something your PS1 is doing the Koryuu doesn’t like.

Trying another cable would be interesting but, you could just use RGB SCART with the PS1 if you have an OSSC.

Yes, of course RGB SCART directly to the OSSC works perfectly. However, I wanted to put all old systems behind a single S-Video switch feeding the Koryuu. Is anyone else using SCPH-7501 with Koryuu and having success?
