Given the board is can be used for analogue it would be so useful to have some type of indication of what is being output either by indicator lights or super basic screen.  For example

      •  15khz or 31khz
      • Also type of sync would be super useful (sync voltage is probably asking too much but hey what do I know)

If you are using the board for analogue (to go to a CRT) the on-screen menu often disappears out of Frame. You are also stuck even if you use a parallel screen on the HDMI out as that onscreen menu shuts off if it can’t read 480i/240p.

Such a display would be particularly useful when you are testing a setup for the first time.  CRTs are becoming a precious and limited resource and even if you can find a repairer (not always possible in many places) their numbers seem to be dwindling at a faster and faster rate.

This information is shown on the OLED display on the front of the OSSC Pro.

Perhaps I am missing something but on mine it either shows: the input resolution & kHz / or the sub-menu you are currently in.   Is there a setting where you can change the default display to be the output resolution & kHz @ the EXTRA AV OUT board?

Here’s an example from my unit:-

            OSSC Pro LCD

So to read the LCD from left to right top to bottom:-

            AV4 – Currently selected input.

            720×480 – input resolution

/2a – output resolution (so 480p divided by two which is 240p). The “a” means adaptive line multiplier.

Bottom row, input Hz. In line multiplier, vertical refresh output will always match input.
