      I think this is doable by setting 480i/576i proc to 2x or 4x to turn on bob-deinterlacing, and then enabling scanlines; but (correct me if I’m wrong), that combination would also enable scanlines for all video modes.

      I think I would like that black-line-insertion effect only with interlaced sources, so perhaps an option could be added to toggle between the current line-doubling approach and filling missing fields with black?
