C64 S-Video Bypass questions

      I’m intrigued by the new C64 S-Video Bypass/RF Replacement – DIY Kit. A couple questions:

      1. Is it compatible with both NTSC and PAL?
      2. A lot of people recommend adding 300 Ω Resistor to the Chroma output on the S-Video cable. Is this still advisable with this mod?

        Hi,

        1) Yes it is, according to C0pperdragon anyway as we didn’t have a NTSC machine to test with.
        2) Should not be required now.

          Thanks for the response. Do you think using a cable with 300 Ω Resistor would degrade the picture at all? Or should I get a normal s-video cable for use with the mod?

            One other question.. Page says “Note that RF output will not be available any more” – will composite continue to work? Or will the board become S-Video only? Thanks!

              Just seen this, yeah composite video still works.
