Hello,
I hope some specialists can give me some hints about how to track the issues.
I built 2 unit: one is working perfectly, while the other have some issues. There is a color issue that is visible on the test pattern, vertical lines have weird colour, odd one are purple, even are a bit yellow.
Also the compatibility with multiplication modes is limited with that unit compared to the other one. Ex: 480i passthrough not working with that unit. And it works with the other one on same TV. Same with 240pX3.
Do you know where should I look? I don’t see any visible solder bridge.
Thank you
Possibly a faulty HDMI decoder chip just a wild guess.
The color issue looks like you have a floating pin(s) on the color data bus between FPGA and HDMI TX (B[4] perhaps). If some modes are not working on that specific board, it may be a sign of other weakly connected HDMI TX pins as well.
Thank you both.
I’ll try to rework the soldering for the pins mentioned.
I’ll keep you updated.
Thanks again marqs, you were right. Both issues are solved now.
