      Hi,
I finished the component mod on the speccy but I don’t get a picture on TV.
Composite on the speccy still gives a picture, so the computer is working.
I tested all the connections from the Ula to the component board, every connection arrives there.
      What else can I test?

Check that the trrs breakout cable is fully seated. Connect the green component video cable to composite on your monitor and see if you at least get a fuzzy black and white picture.

          TRRS is fully seated.
I get no picture at all by connecting the green cable, TV says there is no signal.
          Same on a second TV.

Are the jumpers set correctly for the right output frequency

I tried out all the options with the jumpers.

Silly question but have you flashed the current firmware ?

I didn’t flash the current firmware, don’t know how to do that.
I purchased the board recently, so I expect it to be up to date.
Anyway, I think it should at least output a picture without flashing first.

Please try flashing the latest firmware and let us know.

I cannot find info about what I need to flash the latest firmware.

Can you give me some advice about what I need and a little guide?

                          Thanks

Firmware can be found here – https://github.com/c0pperdragon/ZX-Spectrum-Component-Video/releases/tag/1.0

There’s a little guide here if you’ve not used JTAG programmers before – https://videogameperfection.com/forums/topic/anyone-ever-attempt-firmware-upgrade/

(If you’re using Windows/Linux you can skip the virtual machine part).

                              Hi,

after 2 years of inactivity, I decided to get on this problem again.

I advanced to the Firmware Flashing step, but it stops at 4% each time I try.

I used the Quartus Prime Lite Edition 22.1 with an Altera USB Blaster.

Erasing, examing, blank check is working and advances to 100%

                              Programing stops at 4%.

Is there an additional step to do for programing?

                              What else can I try?

                              Thanks for your help.

Is it a genuine USB blaster or a clone one?

                                  It’s a clone USB Blaster
