Convert 50Hz RGB PAL to 60Hz for display on NTSC HDMI TV using OSSC.

Videopac+ G7400 is 50Hz RGB PAL only console, there is no 60Hz NTSC model. OSSC currently does not convert 50Hz to 60Hz, so displaying image on NTSC TV is not possible. This feature request would provide the conversion.

Is framerate conversion like this even possible without a framebuffer?

Yes, I think it would be possible. There are $20 adapters that convert PAL to NTSC and I don’t think they have a frame buffer in them. I certainly could be wrong. Can marqs reply to say if this is possible or not?

Looks like it might not be possible, see 3:2 pulldown

Marqs if you can reply to be certain that would be great.

Framerate conversion requires a framebuffer and always introduces stuttering or tearing.

I believe the $20 devices you’re talking about simply correct the colour carrier in composite, allowing most NTSC TVs to display them despite the 50hz
