I’ve noticed that several of the members on the forums who have been here for long have custom avatars, but I can’t find any option to upload one. Is this a limitation that has come about with changes to the site, or is it simply tied to how long one has been registered and active?
I don’t mind the generated avatar that much (it’s neat in itself), I just feel that custom avatars make it easier to spot who’s who in a conversation. 🙂
I’m pretty sure it’s set through Gravatar; I think you’d need an account through Gravatar using the same email address.
Thanks, I’d competely forgotten about Gravatar. I should have recognized the generated avatar being from them. 😀
So any option to upload an image to create an avatar (other than Gravatar)? I’ve searched all over the dashboard and account details but haven’t found it.
