FirebrandX’s Gamecube profile of 480p line 2x looks good on a LCD TV I tested it with but on my PC CRT monitor I see no difference between using or not using his optimal timings. Are there optimal timings the CRT could benefit from?

Scalers do vary a huge amount between displays so that can certainly account for some of the discrepancies you’re seeing.

For a CRT monitor, you’re better with x2 mode and generic timings and letting the CRT do its magic.

I ended up just not using the OSSC for Gamecube for some reason it looks better plugged in directly to the PC CRT in 480p mode.
