June 12, 2019 at 12:01 PM #26601Hi, update the OSSC to this version but now I have a problem that I did not have before.
After updating I have lost the sound in the games is not heard either in the captor or on TV someone knows why this happens?June 12, 2019 at 1:44 PM #26603Hi, update the OSSC to this version but now I have a problem that I did not have before.
After updating I have lost the sound in the games is not heard either in the captor or on TV someone knows why this happens? You probably flashed the version of the firmware without audio. You need to use the firmware with the -aud suffix if you want audio.
June 26, 2019 at 9:52 AM #26790So many people have problems because they load the wrong firmware and lose sound, have you considered naming the main one the version number “FWxx” and the non-audio one, “FWxx OSSC 1.5 and older”. I know it’s clear to the regulars here, but it seems to happen a lot!
Other than that, great update and thanks for keeping them coming!

It would be inaccurate to describe the non-audio builds as being specific to the 1.5 and earlier hardware revisisons, because they are also compatible with the 1.5 with audio addon and the 1.6. I would also expect the audio firmwares to work on the 1.5 hardware, but that would be pointless.
Either way, it looks like the firmware repository (linked at the link above) has been restructured so that the audio-enabled firmwares are in a “release_audio” directory and the non-audio firmwares are in a “release_non-audio” directory, which should eliminate confusion.
July 8, 2019 at 9:14 PM #26966I updated to FW0.83 but it seems that ps2 progressive signals stopped working.
I tried several ps2 games with progressive support and they provided black screen.I quickly retreated to FW0.82 which seemed to be ok.
Anyone else twho has updated to FW0.83 having problems with ps2 progressive signals? (I am using RGB scart connection)

I haven’t tested this myself, but I would make sure that you are either switching input to AV1-RGsB when 480p (or 720p or 1080i) kicks in, or you have turned on the OSSC’s automatic input switching.

I just tried mine there and it’s working fine. My PS2 is set to RGB, so once the signal switches to progressive, I press 4 on the remote (RGsB).

Have you tried enabling the automatic input switching?
July 18, 2019 at 8:17 AM #27049I have a 1.6 OSSC and I upgraded to the 0.83 but I used the non-audio firmware. I re-flashed it with 0.83-audio but I still get any audio output over HDMI.
I tried both external input and SCART with same result.
Is there a switch or setting I need to update/check? Thanks.
UPDATE: Ok, I’m an idiot. I needed to set the downsample to 2x. Wasn’t seeing the audio menu when I had the other version.
Now I’m wondering is there a way to reset all the settings back to factory default? Or doc on what default are for timings, etc?

Reset is per profile.
