I have a digital AV board from the very first batch back in February, and was wondering which version of the firmware it shipped with? Looking at the commit log, I’m guessing the firmware is either from late January (1d97c3f
) or early February (18351f8
). Am I correct?
I haven’t encountered any issues on my current setup, so I suppose updating the firmware wouldn’t be a necessity before any of the more major features on the TODO list get implemented, unless any of the subsequent fixes (“fix random startup problem”, “fix audio code mismatch” and “fix reset sensitivity”) have significant bearing on compatibility and/or stability?
Should be 18351f8. No need to update if you haven’t had issues with the board.
Good to know, thanks! I assume the process would be the same as the one for updating the OSSC via JTAG (i.e. upload the .jic file using Quartus when the board is powered on)?
Yes.
