      Hello.

I haven’t used my OSSC in a while and yesterday I wanted to try out some GBA games on my Gamecube using GameBoy Player (yes, I used GBI-HF). When I turned on the scanlines (I had it set at 25%) I noticed that the colors became washed out. Now I have used the scanlines before with many different consoles connected to the OSSC, but I don’t recall having so washed out colors, only that the image got darker of course. Maybe I’m misremembering, or could this be a case only with the Gameboy Player? I’m using an official Nintendo Gamecube RGB SCART cable on my PAL Gamecube.

What I noticed is that the colors are noticeably more washed out when I use Line x3 (resulting in a 1080p image) on the 384p GBI-HF resolution. When using Line x2 (720p), then it’s not that noticeable.

Here are some pics I took with my phone, first Line x3 without and with scanlines

Is this an issue related to my RGB cable or maybe my TV? I don’t have any custom scanline settings enabled on the OSSC, also on my Samsung TV I’m using Game Mode and I don’t have any extra postprocessing options on.

Nothing changes with colour processing when adding scanlines only the lines are simply blanked out so I guess it’s just an effect of making the image slightly darker.
