Genesis Model 2 Scart cable issue

      Hey, all. I recently purchased the official scart cables for the Mega Drive II and I’m using them with a Genesis model 2 and a framemeister.

      When plugged in, there’s some awful audio buzz and some video interference. Is it because those cables aren’t compatible with the Genesis? I know it isn’t the Genesis itself or the ac adapter as they work fine with Composite (lol) and RF(lmao).

      Am I to only use third party scart cables for my Genesis?

        Could be the capacitors have gone in the cable. Could be that it just isn’t that great quality to begin with. Remember games consoles are considered toys, official RGB cables aren’t always made to the highest standards.

        I would definitely try another cable if you can do so easily.

          Luckily for me, I already had another pair of high quality cables. The “official cables” was the ocd in my collecting as I prefer to have/use all first party items. I should’ve performed more research on the Mega Drive Scart cables as they’re known to be complete crap.

          Oh well, you live and learn. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
