      Hello,
I have question about digital to analog converter without lag.

It is amazing that OSSC performs very low inputlag, and that’s a reason I purchased it. I would say that OSSC is very good solution for people looking for analog to digital converter.

In contrast, digital displays in the world is not lag free. Only the analog CRT TV/monitors with DVI/HDMI input are completely lag free. Therefore, currently most devices which use LCD or OLED display in the world is not lag free and making bad experience for sensitive users such as rhythm game users.

Unfortunately, most manufacturers are removing analog output from their devices. I want to play a PS4 rhythm game under the best situation, but the PS4 has only HDMI output. I’ve already tested some HDMI to VGA converters, but all of them have more than 1~2 frame input lags which is not acceptable for me.

I already have doubts about lag free HDMI to VGA converter, but I want to make sure that the DAC is possible or not theoretically. Could anyone confirm it to me and drive me to despire?

There are several, HD Fury converters are confirmed lag free. Most of the cheaper ones are lag free since they don’t use frame buffers.

I know the converter, but the HDFURY X3 costs a lot to me to compare with the other converters…
Do you have any comparison data about the converter such as milliseconds of inputlag?
I’m using the Portta HDMI to VGA converter, and I’m pretty sure the converter is the fastest one among I tested.

HDFury 1 and 2 are also lag free as far as I know. I’ve personally tested the HDFury 2 and it’s lag free.

As I say few of them actually use frame buffers so most will be lag free.

I appreciate your advice. I’ll buy and test it.
