I decided to build the ossc myself.
How to install the software?

I do not find this component on the web IRM-V538 / TR1, by what reference can it be replaced?

How to install the software?

The probably least expensive solution would be to buy a cheap Chinese USB-Blaster clone for around $5 and install the firmware as described here:

A few asian sellers on Aliexpress selling a bunch of IRM-V538. There may be other suitable infrared receivers for a 38kHz carrier frequency and with similar supply current and voltage. Sadly the IRM-V538 has kind of a unique package type. So other receivers won’t fit without some tinkering around…
