The OSSC and OSSC Pro are quite different solutions, and the OSSC Pro, when that comes out, will be a degree more expensive. If you need something now, the OSSC is a good option. If you need something with proper scaling, track down a Framemeister. If you can wait an indeterminate amount of time for a solution, wait for the OSSC Pro.
I’m pretty sure that the “classic” OSSC will be supported, but I can see that we still have firmware v0.85… Will there be one day a 1.00 version ?
Being <1.00 does not mean it’s unstable or incomplete. Considering that most of the resources on the current hardware are exhausted, if there will be another 15 revisions to hit 1.00, I think it will be over a very, very long period of time.
