      Hi,

I’m trying to use the OSSC for the first time today. I’m using a Dell s2409Wb moonitor connected straight to OSSC via HDMI. I’ve been trying to get a display on the screen but it’s just black (sometimes it says about entering powersave mode), I tried with a console plugged in and without and every time (20 or so attempts) nothing showed. I had forced it to HDMI input.

I assumed the monitor was incompatible. Then, randomly as I was about to give up it showed the grey test screen, so I immediately turned on the console (unmodded JP Super famicom, CSYNC scart cable) and the screen went black again. The sync was detected (AV1 RGBS 525i 15.74kHz 59.97Hz).

Since then I cannot get the test screen to appear again, I’ve tried different combinations of what is connected and what is turned on in what order to no avail.

I turned on both options in the compatibility menu, although not sure I did that right as they were lost when I power cycled the OSSC.

I also did a full reset in case I’d messed up any settings.

The LED is green, switching briefly when clicking a button on the remote.

I’m on .78a firmware (as provided when I bought it direct from VGP).

Is it likely I can get it working with the monitor? If so how?

      Thanks

Try to set TX mode to DVI and did you try another HDMI cable?

Thanks, the TX mode fixed it. However some times the test screen is grey, sometimes it’s green. Is that normal?

I have never seen the test pattern be green. You should try another display.
