      Hi all!

      A bit weird, when I use the OSSC with signal in (snes) and hdmi out all works fine, its seems, I haven’t done any long term testing.
      But when I power the board it works afew minutes but then the lcd starts to flicker and I can hear a high pitch whine, almost like coil whine.

      Even weirder, the board lights up and starts when I plug in the HDMI cable, with the power off..

      Any ideas?

        It seems your display (or wherever the board is connected to) supplies power to its HDMI DDC 5V input. Does not make any sense but it’d explain both of your issues. If you can’t fix the sink, then you may remove fuse F2 from ossc pcb which then cuts DDC5V signaling.

          Can confirm that the screen is weird, tried it on my computer monitor where it doesn’t power up on the hdmi.
          When using my monitor the OSSC turn itself off after about 2min, the lcd and green led starts to flicker.

          I’m gonna try and resolder a few components

            No dice, lcd starts to flicker and goes dark after 90seconds, I get the feeling that it’s heat related. If I restart the board without cooling down it dies much faster.
