      Currently the phase adjustment (valued at 0 thru 360 deg) affects all video modes globally (240p, 480i, 480p, etc.). If phase could instead be adjusted in the “Advanced timing” menu, so that a different phase value could be saved/loaded for each video mode, this would be very useful and cut down on the number of profiles I currently need to define.

        There are various factors in addition to video mode which affect the phase relationship of sync and video data: sync and video LPF settings, source console, mods etc.

        I’m thus a bit doubtful whether it’d sufficient to link phase setting to each mode. Ideally there’d be automatic phase selection like in many monitors, but it’s not that easy to implement and has some downsides too (delay, reliability).
