      First post, hello there.

Using an OSSC and Koryuu with N64 consoles in the UK, I have no problem with either my UK PAL console and my Japanese NTSC console. Both look great with this set-up running their native software.

However, if I use a region adapter cartridge to run PAL software on the NTSC console the output via the Koryuu is black and white only, over both composite and s-video.

I note the Wiki for the Koryuu specifies both PAL and NTSC are supported and notes PAL-60 compatibility, but is there any support for NTSC-50?

Not a big deal since I can simply switch out consoles but out of curiosity, is this the case or is there anything I can do?

Is the N64 actually outputting 50hz when you force it to run the out of region game? Check on the LCD, chances are it’s running 6ohz but not quite (like 59.3 or something even further off spec), which is enough to upset the colour carrier in the signal and give you a black and white image.

Running a PAL game on a Japanese console is meant to run at 50hz, but it’s actually showing up ~48 hz so I guess this might be the problem!
