Over the past few years, I’ve been dealing with a peculiar issue when running S-Video from my PAL N64 through the Koryuu Transcoder. There seems to be some type of grounding issue that’s causing unwanted interference in the image when the cable is fully connected to the Koryuu. As a workaround, I discovered that the interference goes away if you have the cable slightly disconnected, which works, but I was wondering if there was a permanent solution. Does anyone here know of a fix or what might be causing the interference?

Here’s an edit I made comparing the cable fully connected (on the left) and slightly disconnected (on the right).

Have to admit its kind of hard to see in your picture what you mean, both look decent. Is it perhaps the slight diagonal lines you can see on the red portion of the creature?

Yeah, there are scrolling diagonal lines that show up prominently in primary colours, such as reds, greens, and blues. It only seems to happen with my N64, as I’ve tried the same S-Video cable on my SNES and had no issues. So I’m assuming it’s an issue with the N64 and not the Koryuu itself, but I honestly don’t know. I’ve also read posts from other people experiencing the same thing, so I know it’s not my N64 in particular.
