      There has been a terrible accident due to my stupidness, but now the screen on the OSSC is doesn’t work; it sometimes turns on, but displays no characters. Otherwise the device still works.

      I was wondering if someone could help me navigate the menus with the remote by telling me what buttons to press to get to the “Update firmware” section, and how to enable the OSD.

      EDIT: I formatted (fat32) and flashed the micro SD cart with the update, but I’m not sure if it’s working. I’m not sure if this is normal, but when attempting to click on that drive in Windows, it says I have to format it before I can use it. I imagine that’s normal, but when trying to navigate to the settings from referencing videos, the closest I got was a black screen with a square in the topright corner. (Forgive me, I haven’t updated since late 2019).

        Yes windows will ask you to format the drive again since it doesnt recognize when it has been written with the fw .bin file.

        Here is the sequence, I just tested it myself:
        (In parenthesis is where the buttonpress takes you)
        Menu
        Up (-> settings)
        Ok
        Up (-> fw update)
        Ok (-> validates image and then asks if you want to update)
        1 (-> yes)
        Write takes about 5 seconds (maybe wait 10s to be sure)
        Then power off and back on.

        The OSD is on by default, so you should be good to go!
