      Hi,

I have my PAL GameCube connected via RGC RGB cable. OSSC: 619i red light; Loading game 519i red light. No signal on my LG OLED55C7V.

Can’t find any options for these resolutions. Is there a way to force my GameCube to 480p permanently? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Regards,

      Mark

Signal should be 625i (PAL) or 525i (NTSC). Something is up with the sync signal the OSSC receives. Gamecube has pretty standard output, so should not require any tinkering on OSSC. Verify you have a functioning cable and output from your Gamecube.

Thanks. It appears to be the cable. Will let you know more soon.

Having the same issue. Would the cable you had issues with happen to be the RGC Universial Nintendo cable?

My GC works with a dodgy $3 ebay cable, but not the RGC universial.

When did you get your RGC Universal cable? I read there were issues with Gamecube with their beta test cables but that should have been fixed.

Have you tried to adjust Analog sync Vth?

I contacted RGC and they advised that i had an earlier hardware revision & they have shipped me the newest revision. I’ll post back here if that sorts it in case someone else in the future stumbles on this thread googling for the same problem.

I don’t know anything about OSSC, but do know that PAL Gamecube does not output 480p (despite other regions supporting it, it was disabled in PAL consoles for some reason) , only 480i and 570i, unless you force 480p with Swiss or line-double / deinterlace with a Carby cable, Retrotink, or (I thought) OSSC… Don’t know if that helps.

PAL Gamecubes can output 480p, it’s PAL software that cannot. Use Freeloader/Swiss/modchip etc to run NTSC software and the PAL GC will output 480p just fine (cable/adapter permitting of course).
