obanaiiguro.I’ve noticed that the quality of the image is nice and crisp on an older HD TV. My 4k TV must be doing a bad job of displaying 720p I had heard that the video quality was great and so was disappointed. Although I’m glad I can play it with sharp pixels on my older tv, does anyone know of a way to improve the image quality? Or maybe encountered a similar problem? I’m guessing it’s just my 4ktv and snk’s device not getting along. Just annoying to have to use an old TV when I’ve upgraded to 4k. Thanks

Which LG screen is it? I didn’t find the 720p handling to be bad on the C9.
Hi there! It is an LG 43UN73906LE. I’m aware the scaling of the telly is most likely the issue as it looks lovely and crisp on my standard 1080p screens. I just acquired a mClassic which does improve things quite a bit.
Although, it still looks better on a standard 1080p tv. I went with an affordable model as it fits in my attic 🙂 I had tested my ossc with 5x on my mates nano cell and so was trusting lg for ossc use. I am aware that say a nano cell could have a better scaler inside. I have the same issue with my tgx mini so it is definitely how the tv handles 720p.
I’ll be posting about the classic now haha Cool device, but differing results so far.
Short of adding another external scaler there’s not much else you can do. That will of course add at least a frame of lag.
