Hello! I am a recent purchaser of the latest OSSC. I have flashed it to .90 (from .81) so I could get the OSD and make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

My primary purpose is to use it with an Atari 520 ST I have recently acquired as well.

I have an Atari -> Scart cable, which is plugged into the OSSC, and then HDMI to my TV. The picture is fine.

What do I need to do to get audio?

It seemed that the site describes the audio being sent along the HDMI cable… or did I misread or misunderstand what that means?

      Any assistance would be grateful.

As long as your SCART cable is sending audio from the ST, it will be digitised by the OSSC along with the video.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response.

I acquired the cable off of Ebay, and it states that it does.

Although, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be plugging the two attached cables directly into my TV, or the SCART cable could pass the audio along.

Am in the US, I don’t have any experience with SCART cables since we don’t use them here, but SCART seemed like the best option for connecting the ST to the OSSC.

Looks like the ST is like the Amiga in that to get audio you should connect those 2 x RCAs to RCA audio outputs on the back of the machine.

The cable is for the STE, which has improved sound capabilities over the original ST and therefore separate RCA output jacks for stereo sound. The original ST does not have those.

Unfortunately you need to get a cable specifically wired for the original ST.
