Hello there. I received my OSSC 1.7 today and been reading and trying out stuff to get the best possible results. I updated the firmware to the latest one, too.

So far I cannot say how successful I am. Here are some screenshots (from my capture card).

My guess it that it’s just the signal that is so frizzly at times from my very old unmodded Super Famicom console.

Another weird thing i realized is that the audio seems to be lagging behind the OBS previews.

        Some additions:

I am using the Scart port and the capture card is an Elgate HD 60S+. Audio only lags on OBS, not on the TV. I am planning to get the capacitors replaced, but I am not sure how much that will impact the image quality. I remember cutting some pins from my Genesis to improve the image signal since apparently the different modes were interfering with each other. I got no clue if that would help here as well and I am too much of a noob to just try it…

Your capture is not bad and depends on what look you prefer generally. The Super Famicom is known to have a generally fuzzy image, it’s why people seek out the 1-chip consoles. You can try using the Reverse LPF (Post Proc->Reverse LPF) function to undo some of the fuzziness.
