      Hi,
I didn’t use my OSSC for a while. Yesterday I needed to use it, unfortunately I don’t have any audio through HDMI. It used to work but as I said it’s been a while and I can’t explain why the sound disapeared.

My OSSC is 1.6 version. I made different tests, all of them result with no sound. I tried with
      – SNES and Amiga 1200 in AV1 input
      – different HDMI cables
      – different monitors (a TV and a PC monitor with speakers)
      – different firmwares (0.86a, 0.88a and 0.90a)

The only way to have some audio is to plug a headset in A1 output :s
      Any help is appreciated.

A broken chipset after 3 years and a few hours of utilisation ? What a mess…

That would be very unlikely unless hotplugging and bad luck were involved. Anyway, I’d recommend contacting the seller to see if warranty / repair is possible.

                Bought on videogameperfection.com
I doubt it’s still on warranty, I ordered it on december 2020. If an employee from this company comes here, let me know.

As ‘marqs’ wrote: it’s very unlikely… and i’ve never seen a broken U8 in the past (if i remember correctly) – but it’s possible. Sadly a few hours of utilisation won’t protect you from electronic components failing sometimes.

I’ve seen a handful go out of thousands of units sold. Usually due to hot plugging as others have said. If you’re in Europe we can attempt a repair for you, e-mail in for details.
