      Hello!

I have OSSC v1.6 which has problem, that sometimes i need to switch power to it many times until it actually boots. I can live with that.
But now i wanted to try if it could fix the problem by reinstalling the firmware.
I installed the latest firmware (latest_release_audio.bin) to SD card (Etcher it onto the card)
I put the SD card in and switch the power on, and suddenly it has complete blank(white) screen and nothing works. I though that it maybe installs a new firmware like this also, but i re-read updating guide and only thing how to update, is through the menu.

So, now the OSSC only has white blank screen, both LEDs on, and nothing works. No output at all and it doesn’t respond to remote.
I measured all regulators and voltages are precise, none of the caps are shorted, SD slot is okay, oscilator is 27MHz precise.
Anything i can do except try to update it through JTAG? I don’t have any JTAG programmer currently.

Well both leds on and blank screen sounds like some hardware fault, but if you still want to try to install the new fw so you can use OSD instead, check this thread where there is instruction to navigate blind to fw update:

I tried that for the sake of it, and nothing happened. It doesn’t respond to the remote. The remote led(on OSSC) doesn’t do anything, and i have the OSSC mode on the remote.

If you bought it from us get in touch and I’ll check warranty status.

It’s a previously owned, and i don’t know where it’s originally from. But i don’t have any hurry, so i’m waiting for JTAG-programmer to arrive. It’s for another thing i’m doing, but it should be compatible with this also.
