Off center mask?

I am trying to play rocket knight adventures on a Genesis through RGB Scart to an OSSC to a TCL 65r617. When I try to mask the image the mask is not centered on the image… or the image is not centered on the screen?

Here you can see the bottom and right side of the game are touching the mask, and the top and left sides are still showing junk pixels.

I need to recenter the image, or recenter the mask. It would also be nice if I could just stretch the image to touch the top and bottom of the screen.

I have looked at guides but I do not understand how to do this, please don’t just tell me to read the wiki, because I’ve tried. I just can’t figure it out and I’d really appreciate some help!

The masking is based off of the active area. The position of the active area is defined from the lengths of the blanking areas. The blanking areas consist of frontporch, sync and backporch. The sync should normally be left alone, the frontporch is calculated from sync and backporch. Hence backporch is the value that you need to adjust to shift the image over (this goes for both horizontal and vertical position).

To quote the wiki (my bolding)

Horizontal/Vertical backporch length
Sets output backporch lengths, which by default are set to match expected input backporch lengths. Effectively adjusts image position.
