Hello! I’m getting some faint audio buzz with the 3.5mm audio out next to the HDMI with my headphones. I don’t think its a ground loop problem, as everything is on one power strip and the power supply for the OSSC doesn’t have a ground pin. The noise gets louder if I unplug the HDMI cable and then louder again if I unplug the SCART cable, the noise completely disappears when I unplug the AC adaptor for the OSSC.

I’ve tried unplugging everything except for the OSSC power supply and the buzzing is still there. Heres the weird thing though, the buzz completely disappears if I touch the shielding on the outside of the red green and blue plugs on the back of the OSSC.

I think the problem is that the OSSC isn’t grounded properly? I really have no idea. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks 🙂

I seemed to have fixed it by taking apart the OSSC and giving the board a good clean with IPA. It still makes a buzzing noise when the HDMI cable isn’t plugged in, but once I do plug it in the buzz seems to vanish completely now. Hopefully it doesn’t come back!

Genuinely stumped on that one, the audio is just a pass through, should sound just the same as it does directly from the console.

It’s very strange, it was making the buzzing with just the power plug and headphones.
